A responsible way of assessing mineral resources

The non-profit organization Fennoscandian Association for Metals and Minerals Professionals (FAMMP) brings together qualified persons mainly in Sweden, Norway and Finland who meet the organisation’s requirements for competence and experience in making exploration results, mineral assets and mineral reserves that meet the requirements of PERC standard.

FAMMP is a professional body, a member of PERC (Pan-European Reserves and Resources Reporting Committee)

What’s our purpose

The purpose of FAMMP is to oversee membership approvals and, when necessary, implement disciplinary measures for its members. This ensures that public information regarding exploration results, mineral resources, and mineral reserves is comprehensive, transparent, unbiased, and quality assured. By doing so, FAMMP aims to protect shareholders, investors, and potential investors from misleading or incorrect information.

Additionally, FAMMP is dedicated to educating its members and other representatives of the mining community in the Nordic countries on best practices for reporting. The organization enforces ongoing professional development for its members and contributes to the overall professional growth of the industry.

FAMMP also strives to maintain strong relationships with other Recognized Professional Organizations (RPOs) operating within the CRIRSCO framework.
